As the founder of GEOFunda, Gerda Oberholzer has ben passionately engaged in education and training in numerous industries for over thirty years. She holds an MBA and has a special interest in RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning), with her thesis focused on a new model for leadership in the changing workplace.
Her amazing commitment to highest levels of excellence, respect, and integrity in all aspects of any individual’s learning journey reflects strongly in our ethos, ethical standards, and relationships with its members and other stakeholders. She plays a critical role in the evolution and ongoing delivery of successful RPL, CPD, and various other programs to our clientele.
Gerda began her career in medicine and was the first clinical facilitator in a Private Hospital Group to maintain and upskill Intensive Care Staff. In 2004 she helped migrate the medical industry, medical aids, and end users towards using disposal products. Working closely with the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, Gerda launched the tracheostomy care training for home care patients in SA.
Gerda served on the committee of the SA Board for People Practices (SABPP LQA) in setting HR standards for all industries committee for seven years, six of which were spent as vice chairperson.
She has also been a paralegal facilitator for past 4 years and is currently a member of the board for the Labour Law and Labour Relation Association (LLLRA).
